Day 01: Arrival to Hotel and Welcoming
Based on your arrival time we will offer some activities to make your first day memorable and interesting in Baku. Activities include Baku City Tour by night and introduction with various types of local wine and beers with traditional Azerbaijani appetizers. Another option – tea houses to taste various types of tea served with traditional Azerbaijani sweets is also included in the program.

You will enjoy our impressive city tour during the night and be inspired by numerous lights and decorations. Baku is a surprisingly mysterious city to discover, even at night time. The capital city that magically transforms at night. Once the sun goes down, this modern city truly dazzles. Each building in the centre shines in its unique light.

Day 02: Full-day Baku City Sightsseing Tour
In and around Baku

Straddling the Middle East, Europe and Asia, the enigmatic capital of Azerbaijan sits on the coast of the opal-blue waters of the Caspian Sea, with the Caucasus Mountains to the west.

At the beginning of this unique sightseeing tour, the car/minivan will take us to the twin gates of Old City. From there, we will walk to the inner city where you will go on a detailed tour, during which you will explore the Maiden Tower, 15th-century Shirvanshahs’ Palace, Museum of Miniature Books that is the only museum in the world dedicated to miniature editions of books. We’ll walk through the bustling narrow streets and alleyways and you will also discover traditional mosques with calligraphic facades, old hamams, merchants’ houses, charming trading streets made all the more colorful with quirky little art galleries and carpet shops. As soon as we finish Old City walking tour you will have 1 – 1.5 hours lunch/coffe or tea break and we’ll take you traditional local restaurants – world of colourful and delicious Azeri cuisine.

Following the delicious lunch, we will visit Palace of Happiness (once a ‘place of tragedy’ now turned into a ‘palace of happiness’) and Carpet Museum – the largest collection of Azerbaijani carpets and rugs in the world. After an impressive carpet tour, it is time to ride up in the Baku Funicular from the seaside to the three strikingly modern buildings known as the Flame Towers. This high-speed Funicular provides a stunning view over the city as it transports guests more than 1493 feet above ground. Selfies are still compulsory up here as the funicular conveniently lets you off at Highland Park, the landscaped terraces of which overlook the Bay of Baku and give the best view over the Baku Bay, National Flag Square and Seaside Boulevard.  The last sightseeing to be visited is Heydar Aliyev Center – an internationally recognized architectural marvel, Designed by the late Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid. Afterwards the bus/minivan will take us along the Seaside Boulevard where situated many landmarks, including multi-story shopping malls, an amusement park, a 5D cinema, a Ferris wheel. After the trip, our minibus/car will take you back to hotel or any place in the downtown based on your request.

Day 03: Trip to Qobustan, Mud Volcanoes and Absheron 
This trip will help you to uncover the secrets of the Gobustan National Park and be acquainted with the amazing mud volcanoes as well as visit monuments of universal value in Absheron Peninsula

Real magic in Baku starts further afield. Trip starts with visiting Bibi-Heybat Mosque. You will admire impressive minarets of Bibi-Heybat Mosque, a restored historical mosque at the entrance to the city from the airport side. With its elaborately decorated interior of green and gold, the mosque features Shirvan architecture with three domes. The old mosque was known as “the mosque of Fatima,” as called by French writer Alexander Dumas who traveled here in the 1840s. Following the Mosque, we will head directly to Gobustan to see Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape. A national historical landmark and a World Heritage Site, Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape preserves ancient stone relics, rock carvings, and mud volcanoes. Located on the Greater Caucasus mountain ridge, the reserve shelters more than 6,000 engraved images of prehistoric lifestyles, hunting, and animal and plant life, dating back between 5,000 and 40,000 years. Later on, the tour will continue to the Mud Volcano, which is not far from Gobustan National Museum. During this trip, you will get a great chance to see these amazing active volcanoes from very close distance. Watch mud bubbling out of the earth at Mud Volcanoes, strange geological formations bursting warm liquid set against a backdrop of mountains in Gobustan National Park. Fizzy, snorting bubbles and an occasional sound of snoring make a mesmerizing spectacle. The gurgling mud coming out at 1.2 m (4 ft) high spurts like mini volcanoes but is not hot; you can touch it or bring it home for skin treatment. The landscape here features cracked mud and several piles of hardened mud spewing muddy water. After an impressive volcano tour, we will invite you to taste most famous dishes of national cuisine in traditional local restaurant. Following the lunch break tour goes on with the excursion to the natural, historical and architectural moments of Absheron peninsula – a place of natural combustible gases entering the mountain Yanardagh (Burning mountain), temple of fire-worshipers “Ateshgah” and finally Gala State Historical Ethnographic Reserve. At the end of the trip, we will invite you to taste most preferred hot meals and salads by locals.

Day 04: 2-day trip to Shamakhi-Qabala-Shaki (overnight in Shaki)

What To Expect After a spending couple of day in urban life in capital city, you’re probably going to want to relax when you arrive in Shamakhi. The ancient town dates back almost two and a half thousand years and became the Shirvan Empire’s capital between the 9th and 16th century. Historical attractions include the 900-year-old Gulistan Fortress, various medieval archaeological sites and mausoleums of former rulers. Shamakhi, the birthplace of many Azeri poets, produce wine and traditional carpets today. Shamakhi is also famous with its Astrophysical Observatory. The observatory located on the southeastern foothills of the Great Caucasus Mountain ridge.   After lunch break in the roadside local restaurant time to visit and see Gabala former capital of the Caucasus Albanians who ruled for 600 years (no relation to modern day Albania). With our private transport, it takes less than two hours to reach Gabala from Shamakhi. Once strategically located in the centre of the Silk Road, rulers fought to control an influential part of trade between East and West. You can see several ancient monuments including a 1000-year-old defence tower, a 13th-century mosque, and a mausoleum from two centuries ago as well as modern architecture. Old Qabala’s partially excavated ruins are 15 kilometres (9.3 miles) from the centre. Activities also includes riding cable car for breathtaking views over the stunning Caucasus Mountains. As soon as complete discovering top attractions of Gabala, delicious meals will be waiting for us in traditional local Azeri restaurant. After the traditional Azeri dinner we are going to head to Sheki. Overnight stay in luxury 5-star resort hotel around the Caucasus mountains in Shaki.

Day 05: Shaki City Tour following the outdoor activities
In early morning you will start to explore one the oldest settlements in the Caucasus and oozes with history and beauty in the form of gorges, waterfalls, and rivers. Local Sweet Houses, Handicraft Shops, Karavansaray, once housing Silk Road traders and the Palaces of the Sheki Khans are the town’s most important historical attractions. After visiting Historical Sightseeings we will have a lunch break in luxury local restaurant. We’ll invite you to our amazing hiking tour starting from the pine forests and goes on with climbing forest trails that lead up to top of mountains.This 2-hour Hiking tour is organized as an complimentary activity after the lunch for both nature admirers and extreme lovers and gives you lifetime and unforgetable outdoor experience. You will have 1-hour leisure time to prepare before departure from Shaki. Arrival to Baku by midnight.

Day 06: Transfer from Hotel to Airport
Today is the last day of your trip in Azerbaijan. After five busy and enjoyable days we strongly recommend you to spare couple of hours to shopping if you have plenty of time prior to departure. We will advice the best places for shopping and high-quality Azeri-made products or gifts that worth to buy and take with you for your family members and friends.
