Embark on this amazing 12 day tour and enjoy visits to some of the least visited places in Gabon – one of the least visited destinations in Africa. You will be fascinated by the cultural richness, extraordinary nature and exotic wildlife Gabon has to offer.

Day 01: Arrive Liberville
Upon arrival at Libreville International Airport, proceed through immigration, claim luggage and meet our representative who will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle.

Day 02: Liberville – Lope (By Train)
After a refreshing night and good breakfast, we set out on a historical tour of Libreville, including visit to some selected churches, artisanal markets, and quarters.

Later we return to the hotel to rest and pack our luggage.
Late afternoon, we depart to train station for a night train to Lope National Park. Arrive in Lope train station and transfer to lope Hotel.

Day 03: Lope National Park
After a well deserving breakfast, we will be met by our Guide for an active day in Lope National Park. Hike to the magnificent Mount Brazza to enjoy the picturesque landscape.

In the afternoon, go on a game drive in the park where we will see the rocks art carving. Dinner will be at the hotel.

Day 04: Mandrills Tracking
Following breakfast, we’ll go with our guide on an adventure of tracking Mandrills in the park. Late evening, you’ll be transferred to Lope train station to take night train to Libreville.

Day 05: Libreville – Lambarene
Upon arrival in Libreville at 9am, we will stop at a coffee shop for breakfast before departing on a 4 hour drive to Lambarene. Arrive in Lambarene and transfer to your hotel.

You may participate in a Bwiti ceremony.

Day 06: Lambarene – Tsam Tsam
After breakfast, we embark on a brief visit to the Museum of Albert Schweitzer and its old hospital before taking a 2 hour scenic boat cruise to Tsam Tsam, an ecotourism site on Lake Oguemoue.

Upon arrival, you will sure have an amazing night; you will be hosted on platforms with large tents which overlooks the lake giving you spectacular views. This evening, there is an opportunity to go on a night boat safari to see crocodiles.

Day 07: Tsam Tsam
Wake up in this pristine African jungle refreshed and revived by the unspoilt nature that surrounds you. After breakfast, we will trek around the camp to see birds and some other animals.

Continue on a visit to discover Tsam Tsam village and the daily life of the local people. You may have the chance to taste some real traditional Gabonese meals.

Day 08: Tsam Tsam – Loango National Park
After breakfast and check out, we set out on a scenic boat cruise to Omboue.
Upon arrival, we will proceeding on a 2 hour drive to Loango National park. Check in to Loango Lodge. The rest of the evening is at leisure.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Gorilla Tracking
Following breakfast, we will depart Loango Lodge by 9 am and travel by boat on the lagoon for approximately one hour before arriving at the Yatonga camp. This is where the ‘gorilla team’ lives; we will be able to get a glimpse of how it feels to live at a research camp in the forest. Expect to walk through mud, small streams and swamps as we hike through the forest – don’t be surprised when you get wet and muddy. Get a chance of see a family of 18 gorillas including their two babies.

After an hour of tracking gorillas, we return to the Lodge.

Day 10: Loango National Park
Spend another day exploring the beautiful park and take the opportunity to see wildlife near the beach.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Loango National Park – Libreville
After breakfast and check out, we drive to Port Gentil through the Ozouri Bridge and take the flight back to Libreville.

Upon arrival, we will be transferred to the hotel for the night.

Day 12: Libreville – Depart
Final departure transfer to the airport for your onward flight.

– Small deviations in the tour program are sometimes necessary, depending on weather, road conditions, flight schedules and room availability.
– In case the government changes presently applicable taxes, increase in airlines prices, fuel surcharge our rates will need to be adjusted accordingly.
– Sometimes, there is no relevance between the distance and time of travelling, as it depends upon the condition of the roads and congestion of the traffic.
– While every effort will be made to maintain the itinerary, in view of local strikes etc that are beyond our control all schedule and itineraries are subject to last moment changes.
– Clients must be fully insured, as the company cannot accept liability for loss or damage to client’s property, medical emergencies or any other loss suffered by them whilst on tour.
– In Case of issuing Domestic or International air tickets, SGV is not responsible for any refund if the flight is delayed or cancelled, as it is the responsibility of airline.
